BIG SKY WIND DRINKERS 2008 SUMMER FUN RUN DIRECTIONS

Please no dogs or headphones. Come by 6:15 to sign up for 6:30 PM run.   There are usually three distance options: approximately 1 mile, 3 mile, or 6 miles..   These runs are open to all ages and abilities, members and nonmembers alike.

5/7 SPIRIT HILLS- TRINITY CHAPEL. Take N. 7th as it becomes the Frontage Road to the light on Spring Hill Rd. Right on Spring Hill Rd for 2 miles to Sentinel Dr . Trinity Chapel is on the corner of Sentinel and Spring Hill Rd.

5/14 SOURDOUGH TRAIL - SACAGAWEA Middle School . Take S. 3rd 1.5 miles south from Kagy. Park in the south parking lot.

5/28 TAYABASHOCKUP RUN CHAS DAY POT LUCK - From town or MSU, Kagy eastward. Continue past Painted Hills and then Arrowleaf Hills Drive. Make a right turn (south) at 0.3 miles east of Arrowleaf Hills Drive onto Tayabashockup Road . Continue 2.2 miles on Tayabashockup past the top of the hill until the road bears to the right (west). Park at or near the semi-circle turn-around area on the south side of the road.

6/4 TRIPLE TREE TRAIL/ROAD, From Kagy take Sourdough Rd two miles south about 3 miles to the Triple Tree Trail head. Or take Church south from downtown.

6/11 BOZEMAN CREEK TRAILHEAD. From Kagy either take S. Third or Sourdough Rd. Two miles south to Nash Rd. From S. Third turn left. From Sourdough turn right. Go to Sourdough Canyon Rd. Follow signs to trail head.

6/18 EAST GALLATIN PARK AND SOLSTICE ROAD MILE, Manley Road . Follow either North 7th or Rouse to Griffin Dr . Manley Rd is off Griffen Dr. just west of Merganthaler Transfer.

6/25 LINEAR TRAIL/McGOFF-HAYES POT LUCK , 816 S Black. Take Black Ave south from Main St . 816 S. Black is left in a cul-de-sac between College and Harrison.

7/2 TOUR de WOLVES at JACKSON CREEK ROAD , Cole's Place. Follow Rouse north from Main St . After Rouse turns right and becomes Bridger Canyon Drive continue about 5 miles to Jackson Creek Rd (just past mile sign 9). Turn right and go five miles up Jackson Creek Road to the Howlers Inn sign. Turn left (north) and continue 1/2 mile up the road to first left ( Absaroka Drive ). Continue straight into the driveway and park on the south side of the drive, parallel to the road. If its wet, bring shoes you don't mind getting a 'bit' muddy.

7/9 BOHART TRAIL RUN, Bohart Ranch up Bridger Canyon . From Main Street go north on Rouse and then Bridger Canyon Drive for 18 miles. Bohart Ranch XC ski area is on the left.

7/16 STORY HILLS, Follow Rouse north from Main St . About 1/2 mile after Rouse turns right and becomes Bridger Canyon Drive, turn right on Story Mill, go past the stock yard and park near the entrance to Story Hills.

7/23 SYPES CANYON TRAIL RUN/SUMMERFIELD POT LUCK. Take N. 7 th as it becomes the Frontage Road to the light on Spring Hill Rd. Right on Spring Hill Rd for 1.5 miles. Turn right on Sypes Canyon Rd (by the Sod Farm sign) and go 2.5 miles to the trail head.

7/30 BOGERT PARK-PEET'S HILL (BITE OF BOZEMAN ). From Main St go south on Church St . Bogert park is just past (south) of Olive St .

8/6 [NEW] CHERRY CREEK TRAIL RUN. Directions soon. 8/13 PAINTED HILLS TRAIL, From town or MSU, drive Kagy eastward past Highland Blvd. Turn right (south) about 0.5 miles past Highland Blvd onto Painted Hills Road . Take Painted Hills Road 1.0 mile to the end, where there is ample parking.

8/20 SPEEDWAY INTERNATIONAL/ADAMS POTLUCK. Take the I-90 Frontage Road towards Belgrade . Just before the Airport fence turn right on Airport Rd and follow it about 1 mile to a left fork (Tubb Rd) which continues to follow the Airport Fence. Follow that fork to a T and go right ½ mile on E. Baseline Rd to the mailboxes where you go right again. Follow this dirt road ¾ mile to their house.

8/27 KIRK HILL AND NATURE TRAILS (NO WATCHES!), South 19 th . Follow S. 19th 2 miles south of Kagy. Kirk Hill is located at the point where S. 19th makes a right angle turn to the west.

9/3 SOUTH COTTONWOOD TRAILHEAD. Take S. 19th to the end (around the big right corner) (4miles) and then left at a T-intersection onto Cottonwood Rd. . Turn left on Cottonwood for 2 miles to a left on Cottonwood Canyon Rd. Follow signs to trail head (1.5 miles)

9/10 MSU TRACK RELAY. Off Kagy just east of Willson Ave , between Museum of the Rockies and the MSU Football Stadium. Park at the stadium or behind the Museum. The run will consist of a 1 to 4 person relay on the track or an individual run up the trail to Sacajawea School .

9/17 BEAR CANYON – MYSTIC LAKE , [ 6 PM ], From town or MSU, drive Kagy eastward past Painted Hills where it is Bozeman Trail. Continue eastward past the Ft Ellis Academy. 0.2 miles east of the Academy, turn right onto Bear Canyon Road , and proceed 3.8 miles to the end and park at the New World Gulch trailhead.

9/24 LINDLEY PARK [ 6 PM ] (Pizza Party under the Pavilion). Take Cyprus St off E. Main at the top of the hill past the Exxon Station. Free pizza after the run.

9/26 LINDLEY PARK RUN/ANNUAL MEETING/POT LUCK ( 5:30 PM Start) , Lindley Center . Take Cyprus St off E. Main to Lindley Park .
