2010 Race Info
Entry: Plumb full for 2010. Registration is only done through "racemontana.com". For 2011 registration opens May 29th (a Sunday) at 8:00am MDT. That is the only way to enter the race. This will fill in minutes, so please go to www.racemontana.com and practice entering the race beforehand. You can use the Red Lodge (Montana) race as practice since that race is free and you will not be charged for your practice.
Entry Cost: $50.00. This fee is completely non-transferable and non-refundable. Please consider carefully if you are ready to do this race before entering May 30th. Also, please assume (to help you deal with reality) that above all, the $50.00 is a charitable gift to a great local cause. Your fee will be completely donated to a local not-for-profit organization if you cannot run on Aug 14th. If you break your leg May 31st and want a refund, it will go to a great cause. If your sister decides to get married Aug 14th, the entry fee will go to a great cause. You get the picture.
Waiting List: There is none. We will enter 325 people online, and "natural attrition" will whittle it down to our desired number at the starting line
Free entries: All former finishers who have either won the race outright (top male and female) or have completed 10 Ridge Runs, can have a free entry, and don't need to register online. They must inform the race director of their intent to enter the race a month before the race (July 14th). Please let David Summerfield know at 586-8192. Individuals earning a Free Entry: Free
Vibram FiveFingers Challenge: Anyone able to complete this year's Bridger Ridge Run while wearing any model of Vibram FiveFingers will receive a guaranteed spot in next year's race - (though you will still have to pay). This is a challenging and technical trail run that should test the most rugged feet. So far, no one has been able to do this. Tired of trying to get in the race in the first 4 minutes? Start training!
Race Instructions: can be viewed by clicking on BRR Instructions or download PDF below. Please read these instructions, especially the requirement for all 1st time runners to attend the mandatory Orientation Meeting on Friday Aug 13th - you can choose from 3 different meetings - at 4pm, 5pm, or 6pm at the Mountain Hot Tub business, 2744 West Main Street.
